Terms and Conditions for The Flex Unit Gym Membership

Welcome to The Flex Unit Gym!
We Are excited to have you as a member of our fitness community.
Please carefully review the following terms and conditions, which govern your membership at our gym:



1. Membership Duration: The minimum duration for The Flex Unit Gym membership is 3 months from the date of registration. After the initial 3-month period, your membership will continue on a monthly basis until cancelled.

2. Membership Fees: You will be charged a monthly membership fee based on the membership you choose at the time of registration. The membership fee is due on a monthly basis, and will be automatically charged to the credit/debit card or other payment method on file. You are responsible for ensuring that your payment information is accurate and up-to-date.

3. Cancellation Policy: You may cancel your membership at any time after the initial 3-month period. To cancel your membership, you must provide written notice to The Flex Unit Gym at least 30 days prior to the next billing cycle. failure to provide timely notice will result in the next monthly fee being charged.

4. Refund Policy:
Membership fees are non-refundable, except in cases where The Flex Unit Gym is unable to provide the services promised. In such cases, a pro-rated refund will be provided.

5. Membership Freeze: You may freeze your membership for up to 2 months per calendar year for a fee of £10 per month. To freeze your membership, you must provide written notice to The Flex Unit Gym at least 2 weeks prior to the start of the freeze period. During the freeze period, you will not be charged membership fees, and your membership will be automatically reactivated at the end of the freeze period.

6. Code of Conduct: All members are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and appropriate manner at all times inline with the gym rules stated on posters found within the gym premises. Any behaviour deemed unacceptable by The Flex Unit Gym staff may result in immediate termination of membership without refund.

7. Liability Waiver:
By becoming a member of The Flex Unit Gym, you assume all risk and liability for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur while on the premises or participating in any gym activities. You agree to release and hold harmless The Flex Unit Gym and its staff from any and all claims, damages or expenses arising out of your membership.

8. Age Requirement: You must be 16 years of age or older to become a member of The Flex Unit gym. If you are under 18 years of age, you must have a parent or legal guardian sign the membership agreement on your behalf.

9. Changes to Terms and Conditions: The Flex Unit Gym reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to members via email and will become effective immediately upon posting on our website.

10. Facility Use: Members are entitled to use the gym facilities during staffed hours. Any use of the facilities during unmanned hours is at the Members' own risk and the Flex Unit Gym assumes no responsibility for supervision or assistance.

11. Unmanned Hours Access: Access to the gym during unmanned hours is a privilege granted to members. The gym reserves the right to revoke this privilege at any time without notice.

12. Termination of Membership: the Flex Unit Gym reserves the right to terminate a membership for violation of these terms or any behaviour deemed unacceptable, following the procedures outlined in accordance with UK law. Membership fees will not be refunded in such cases.

13. Personal Trainers: We will not liable or responsible for outstanding monies paid to a Personal Trainer. Personal Training is arranged directly with the PT and not with The Flex Unit Gym.

14. Change To Terms: The Flex Unit Gym may modify these terms at any time. Members will be notified of changes, and continued use of the facilities constitutes acceptance of the updated terms in accordance with UK law.

15. Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United kingdom, and any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the UK courts.



10. Fire Evacuation Procedure: The Flex Unit Gym Fire evacuation safety point is the bottom right of the car park displayed on the picture found below. Please leave all belongings, and move safely to your nearest fire exit (displayed below and well sign-posted within the gym). The member of staff on shift will take a headcount once everyone has gathered at the safety point.

11. Disabled Persons Using Facilities:
11.1. Accessibility: The gym is committed to providing accessible facilities for disabled persons. We strive to comply with the current legislation as of 2024 with relevant accessibility standards to ensure an inclusive environment.
11.2. Equipment Adaptations: Equipment Adaptations: Gym staff will assist in adapting equipment where feasible to accommodate individual needs. Please communicate your requirements to the staff.
11.3. Safety Measures: Prioritise your safety and the safety of others. If you require assistance, do not hesitate to ask gym staff. Use equipment in a manner that aligns with your capabilities.

11.4.Communication of Needs: It is essential for disabled members to communicate their specific needs and requirements to the gym staff. This enables us to provide optimal support and service.
11.5. Reservation of Accessible Spaces: Accessible spaces are available on a first come first served basis. Priority is given to disabled individuals to ensure fair access.
